Hi, I’m Abby. I was raised in Pittsburgh, educated in North Carolina and now I’ve made my home in Northern Virginia. I’m a twenty-something marketing professional working for an Information Technology company. When I’m not at the office, I enjoy reading, cooking, exploring the DC area and relaxing at home with my DVR queue.

Growing up, I spent part of my childhood living in Alzenau, Germany. While my experience living abroad was short-lived, it instilled in me a curiosity for different places, people, languages and cultures. After I returned to the states and went on to college, I had additional opportunities to study and live abroad; this time in Asia. My first experience in Asia was on a month-long course program traveling to Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, learning about the diverse business landscape of the Pacific Rim. A year later, I spent a semester living abroad and studying Chinese in Beijing, China. Today, I continue to study Chinese and cultivate my marketing skills, strengthening my creativity and analytic thinking as one part social anthropologist, one part digital marketer.

My website is meant to be a creative space where I share ideas and experiences on marketing, culture and behavior. Through visual and social content, I hope to provide insight that allows you to take a deeper look at how cultural values and beliefs shape the evolving digital marketplace. Welcome and enjoy.
